(A weekly periodical by All World Gayatri Pariwar Youth Group, Bangalore Branch) www.awgp.org |
|
| Objective of the Periodical: | The root causes of the ailing state of the world today are – the crisis of faith, people’s ignorance of the powers of the inner self, and the lack of righteous attitude. These have evaporated the oceans of joy from people’s life and polluted them with ever increasing insecurities, infirmities and complexities. Realizing the hidden power of thoughts is very important in the present era of intellectual evolution. This periodical will serve as a vehicle for thought transformation for the revival of Satyug - the divine era. |

SADVICHAR (Thoughts
for Contemplation):
Organize Your Way of LivingMental tension is often caused by disorganized way of living, needless worrying, being busy day and night, and working continuously without a pause. This makes it essential to change one's life style and day-to-day working. One must intelligently plan for enough rest and relaxation. Man's mental faculty works at optimal levels only by leading a low stress life enriched with virtues like honesty, discipline and good-will, and by being organized and punctual. Such a life helps one to take proper advantage of the capacity given to us by God.One must learn to drink deep from the fountain of joy that springs from doing one's duty, and must keep going on without fear in the face of obstacles. This is also the essence of religion.–Extracted from Lose Not Your Heart |
UPAKHYAN (Anecdote):
A huge crowd from the village gathered to seek blessings of a visiting saint. People would come, offer some gift at the saint’s feet and sit down to listen to his divine discourse.
The saint spoke, “All the worldly love is just an illusion. Man must set aside his affection towards wife, children and all other relations and must contemplate upon uplifting of soul. True love is the love for God.”
A young child was listening to the saint with great attention. He asked a small question, “O great one, who am I?” The saint replied tersely, “Soul.” The kid then asked, “Sir, when my father and my mother think about uplifting me the whole day, is that not uplifting of soul? Isn’t love towards the universal soul the love towards God Himself? What then is the need to relinquish this world for loving God?” The saint could not give any reply and turned silent.
