PRAGYA SANDESH – 21st Century, Bright Future
(A weekly periodical by All World Gayatri Pariwar Youth Group, Bangalore Branch)
www.awgp.org
Objective of the Periodical: The root causes of the ailing state of the world today are – the crisis of faith, people’s ignorance of the powers of the inner self, and the lack of righteous attitude. These have evaporated the oceans of joy from people’s life and polluted them with ever increasing insecurities, infirmities and complexities. Realizing the hidden power of thoughts is very important in the present era of intellectual evolution. This periodical will serve as a vehicle for thought transformation for the revival of Satyug - the divine era.

SATSANKALP (Divine resolve):
There are 18 satsankalp. As per Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya they correspond to 18 chapters of GEETA. We learnt about the eleventh in the last edition. Given below is the twelfth of eighteen.

Nar Naari Paraspar Pavitra Drishti Rakhenge

Meaning: Men and women while interacting with each other will have feelings of mutual respect and understanding based upon purity of thoughts and emotions.

Upakhyan (Anecdote):

A villager was once riding past a mountain. To his surprise at that precise moment an entry door to a cave made one of its rare magical appearances. The villager had heard the legend that this magical cave contains treasures and its doors open once in a while. He marched into the cave and found mountains of jewels and precious stones. He hurriedly stuffed all that he could into the saddlebags of his mule, for he knew that the cave would be open for only a very limited period of time.

When his animal was fully loaded he started back towards the exit, rejoicing at his good fortune. Before he could go out he suddenly remembered that his stick was left behind in the cave. He rushed back into the cave to fetch his stick, but the time for the cave to disappear had arrived. He could not come out in time and disappeared with the cave, never to be seen again. After waiting for him for a year or two, the villagers sold the treasure they found on mule and became rich.

Conclusion: A single trifling attachment can also lead to large scale damages.

SADVICHAR (Thought of the week):

A family knit together by bonds of loving cooperation and mutual understanding is a living model of heaven on earth.
