PRAGYA SANDESH – 21st Century, Bright Future

Objective of the Periodical: The root causes of the ailing state of the world today are – the crisis of faith, people’s ignorance of the powers of the inner self, and the lack of righteous attitude. These have evaporated the oceans of joy from people’s life and polluted them with ever increasing insecurities, infirmities and complexities. Realizing the hidden power of thoughts is very important in the present era of intellectual evolution. This periodical will serve as a vehicle for thought transformation for the revival of Satyug - the divine era.

 

SATSANKALP (Divine resolve):
There are 18 satsankalp. As per Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya they correspond to 18 chapters of GEETA. We learnt about the seventh in the last edition. Given below is the eighth of eighteen.

“Chaaron Ore Madhurta, Swachhata, Saadagi Aur Sajjanta Ka Waatawaran Utpann Karenge”

Meaning: We will constantly and sincerely endeavour to create an environment of loving kindness, cleanliness, simplicity and goodwill.

Need to Revive Our Ancient Culture


We all know of British atrocities in India. But many of us may not be aware of the well thought of conspiracy of Britishers against us. Consider this extract from Lord Macaulay's address to the British Parliament on 2 February 1835 - "... I have travelled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture. For if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and become what we want them, a truly dominated nation. ... " 

 

Our education system of today is still laden with many such concepts and we continue to hold a low self-esteem about our spiritual and cultural roots and our traditions. But time has now come to shake off all our doubts and misgivings and revive our ancient culture. This revival would reinstate India to its deserved status of Jagadguru, would lead to a complete redefinition of the world order and bring everlasting peace and prosperity.
