PRAGYA SANDESH – 21st Century, Bright Future
(A weekly periodical by All World Gayatri Pariwar Youth Group, Bangalore Branch)
www.awgp.org
Objective of the Periodical: The root causes of the ailing state of the world today are – the crisis of faith, people’s ignorance of the powers of the inner self, and the lack of righteous attitude. These have evaporated the oceans of joy from people’s life and polluted them with ever increasing insecurities, infirmities and complexities. Realizing the hidden power of thoughts is very important in the present era of intellectual evolution. This periodical will serve as a vehicle for thought transformation for the revival of Satyug - the divine era.

SATSANKALP (Divine resolve):
There are 18 satsankalp. As per Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya they correspond to 18 chapters of GEETA. We learnt about the sixth in the last edition. Given below is the seventh of eighteen.

Samajhdaari, Imaandaari, Jimmedaari Aur Bahaduri Ko Jeevan Ka Ek Avichinn Ang Maanenge

Meaning: We will earnestly and firmly imbibe in our lives the virtues of Wisdom, Honesty, Responsibility and Courage.

UPAKHYAN (Anecdote):
The oil in the lamp had been exhausted and only the cotton wick remained burning, spreading a dim and flickering light. Seeing its extinction very near, an onlooker asked, “You have been sacrificing yourself to illuminate the path of others and guide them. But it rends my heart to see such a lonely end as a reward for life-long beneficence to the world.” The dying out wick gave out the last burst of its luminescence and replied, “Brother! Whoever is born in this transitory world has to die one day. We can not escape this destiny, no matter how much we try. What certainly lies in our hands is that we utilize every moment, every breath towards altruistic deeds and not let these priceless moments of life pass in vain.”

Conclusion: One is always remembered for how he lived his life, and not how long he lived.

SADVICHAR (Thought of the week):

One becomes what he thinks & does.
