Objective
The root causes of the ailing state of the world today are - the crisis of faith, people's ignorance of the powers of the inner self, and the lack of righteous attitude. These have evaporated the oceans of joy from people's life and polluted them with ever increasing insecurities, infirmities and complexities. Realizing the hidden power of thoughts is very important in the present era of intellectual evolution. This periodical will serve as a vehicle for thought transformation for the revival of Satyug - the divine era.

Sadvichar: Thought of the week
You may try thousands of times, but nothing can be achieved without God's grace. One cannot see God without His grace. Is it an easy thing to receive grace? One must altogether renounce egotism; one cannot see God as long as one feels, 'I am the doer.'

Upakhyan (Anecdote)
Resourceless monks of Buddha
Once Anand asked Buddha," Lord, although you are sending monks to all over the world for preaching but they don't have any resources with them. How will they live and accomplish their goal I am unable to understand."
Buddha answered," These monks are taking with them a unique wealth which is given by God. With their senses, time and powerful thoughts wherever these hardworking monks will go they will accumulate people's faith, co-operation and resources and will spread as messengers of thought revolution throughout the world. The real resources are those, which they are carrying with themselves.
Today we can see that how these monks really reached far and wide throughout the globe and wealth wise there are wealthier Buddhist monasteries abroad than in India. Reach wise Buddhism is dominant in China, Japan, Cambodia and far east as compared to India.
Kumarjeev, Mahendra, Sanghmitra and innumerable other unknown messengers played an unforgettable role in this.
Time affirmed foretells of Yug Rishi
Gurudev's style of writing was so lucid and convincing that his prophesies also used to
sound like logically drawn conclusions. It's amazing to note that way back in late 1960s he
had given clear hints about likelihood of immuno-deficiency disorders what we now
know as AIDS. The breaking of the Berlin wall, disintegration of USSR, etc were also foretold
by him. Here are translations of some related excerpts:
"Nature has its own ways of maintaining the balance necessary for the protection
and evolution of life on the planet where it has bestowed enormous resources for its
sustenance and expansion. The growing pleasure-driven tendencies and comfort-hungry
lifestyle in the consumerized, self-centered society today should be cautiously checked. If
man does not discipline his habits and sensual lust, it might happen that his body's
natural defense mechanism itself would revolt against him. Then, there won't be any
escape from the dreaded consequences!"
"Few hundred years till the midst of nineteenth century have seen the world
of blood-shed revolutions, fanaticism and horrifying wars. The echoes of the two world
wars seem to have overshadowed the constructive powers of scientific developments too.
But Remember! The Creator of the World is superior to all super-powers here. The
revolutionary impulse of change inspired by HIM has propagated at the spiritual level
and is soon going to manifest itself in the form of revolution of thoughts (Vichar Kranti). I
can see it that those preparing for 'head-on collision' of their mighty high-tech
weaponry with the rivals will soon understand the self-destructive risk of such daring
attempts and will instead tilt towards an approach of negotiation."

Question And Answer
"Are there any restrictions on Gayatri worship?
|
|
There is a prevalent belief that the right to worship
Gayatri is exclusively restricted to the Brahmans
or the so called "Dwij" (which is traditionally considered
synonymous with "Brahmans", a caste in India).
This is a gross misconception. If there is a dispute on
the basis of caste only Kshatriyas will be entitled to
Gayatri Sadhana as revealed to Vishwamitra, who was
its rishi. His descendants will be well within their right
to lay claim to their ancestral right . But such an argument
would be nothing but childish.
If persons living in India alone claim the right in respect
of Gayatri what will happen to those Indians who have
accepted citizenship of other countries? If Gayatri
Sadhana is regarded only for Hindus, a ban will have
to be imposed on those scientists who are conducting
research in this field in foreign countries. In fact, in this
age of intellectual freedom it is ridiculous to talk of
such absurdities. Gayatri is the manifestation of the
Creative Power of God; and like the sun, water, air
earth etc. everyone is entitled to derive benefit from it.
The concept of proprietary rights is applicable to only
material objects. Creations of nature are accessible to
all in equal measure. Endless benefits (Gayatri
kalpavrikcha) can be enjoyed by invocation of Gayatri
by all human beings irrespective of their social status.
Every religion has its Supreme Mantra like Kalma of
Muslims, "Baptisma" of Christians, Namonkar of Jains,
Om Mani Padme Ham of Tibetan Buddhists. So also in
Indian religions tradition there is only one Supreme Mantra,
Gayatri Mantra.
It is foolish to say that Brahmans, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas,
Kayasthas etc. have different Gayatris. This bane of
discrimination on account of high or low caste should
not be allowed to enter into and pollute the spiritual
environment in which there is one God, one religion
and one source of knowledge.
Gayatri is also the key to the invisible Cosmic Consciousness.
An ancient Indian practice required compulsory
admission of children to schools (Gurukuls)
for learning spiritual concepts and practices. Here, the
student was initiated by the spiritual preceptor (Guru)
through this very Gayatri-Mantra, irrespective of his
social background. As a matter of fact, the Shikha (tuft
of hair on the crown of head) symbolises Ancient Indian
(Bhartiya) culture. All Hindus traditionally keep
Shikha as constant reminder to them to nurture high
and noble thoughts. As such, Shikha itself represents
Gayatri, which entitles all to the worship of Gayatri.
